its not original !! although the way the boot opens is pretty cool...but then the way its done it isnt a pick up and you cant load anything on top and then are limited by the boot height as opposed to a pick up...so it renders it a bit daft, the proper pick up style was better

wow, that is pretty cool. yes thought it sort of defied the point of being a pickup, as doesnt really have much more space than a touring and would be hard to open in a multi storey car park :D

would of been better if the bottom say say 8 inches up from the floor...so it was a big space that tools/equipment could be locked/hidden in and kept dry, and both allowed stuff to be put on top like a normal pick up with side walls still, and 4wd :D

Hard to open in a multi storey car park? I wouldn't be able to stand up if you had trouble lifting that lid!
The red pick up is amazing, I'm going to Newquay this summer for my stag do (run to the sun weekend) I wish I could pull up in that, stick your caddys up your arse dubbers!!

True, Is definitely more interesting than a caddy, I'm camping at run to the sun this year, going in my e30 been every year for last 5 years, but last few times was in a mk1 golf convertible, corrado and hate to admit to owning a french piece of shit but a 206.

Good festival because of location and all the classic cars down there, there's something for everyones tastes down there, but unfortunately like all the festivals in the uk has gone drastically downhill with chavs, drug use and tw*ts to put it bluntly.

Well as its my stag do hopefully il be among the drunken scummers most of the time, although I did choose to stay on the rtts showground to look at all the campers and pretend to know what I'm on about. Look out for the calypso Motorsport whilst your there, if it's not sold then il be taking it, possibly an m3 cab aswell.

Baur were a coach builders so they would covert any car, I doubt BMW sold the M3 as a baur. Baur also designed the eventual BMW convertible, but still offered the baur after BMW produced the cab.

Model year 1989. Originally a 323 2 door?

Did Tay build it?

^^ good point, i was going to say it looks fairly well done for once and actually would make a respectable daily if tidied up.

BUT as you say 1989 and a 323?
so well into facelift territory and most certainly a prefacelift shell and originally a prefacelift engine?
seems a little fishy.

I agree only nice e36's are m3 and tourer, but still would choose a e30 over them.

E30 baur m3 looks a bit wrong, but e36 baur is the definition of wrong :)

Although I guess every likes different things, so if it floats your boat fair enough.
