Hmm, just doing a quick google map search and Portsmouth is not where I thought it was...
Anything below Northampton is all the same place to me!
Ok, Southampton would be a much better bet. Or anwhere along the nearby coast... So I think its back to looking for rooms
I'd like somewhere local, we did look at staying in Beaulieu somewhere but all the hotels are small privately owned and cost a fortune. I would rather stay a chain hotel for £30 each...
I did want us to be by the sea for the night but if anyone else can find a hotel nearby (30 minutes or so of the show) I dont mind where we stay. Oxford is still 70+ miles away so need somewhere much closer.

Portsmouth isn't that far, half hour if that.
I stayed there on the beachfront in a nice upmarket hotel with silk sheets for 3 nights as the missus and kids were with me on that trip.

Jesus, I'm away for an hour or so and its turned into... The best party ever.
We should just hang about in hotels together, the 3 of us...
Anyway... Fiona already broke me in with her size 12 rigger boots.
As for hotels. I dont mind where we stay to be honest. Aslong as we can have a drink the friday, I do not care.
Just need to know where to book!

Portsmouth is Spooks backyard, and no doubt Rob will be there too, so I think he could take us all for a drink to an upmarket establishment

Dave - Your touring could act as a Chromie support vehicle for Jim, Rav and Ricky

Pffft, no telling that'd even make it! Would have the issue of having to get it through another MOT as well to make this.

Dave, arent you feeling sick that friday?
And yes, it would be nice to have Chromie support... Which is why we have invited Matt this year to carry all the spare new parts he is gonna buy for us.
Dave you chromie should be well on the road by then...
4 chromie turds in convoy... Matt will look like a coont.

I'll try my best fella! Maybe some local Zoners could lend a hand once my brakes have been delivered
I'll be the peacekeeper in a non-chrome chromie

Got stuck behind the red roadsweeper!! anyway, It turns out if I'd have put my foot down I would have been scraping my heels on the tarmac.. my floor was that bad!! all sorted now though

You'll be even slower with that added weight of actual steel then!

Car has been a garaged since November pretty much - got next Friday off so going to see my mate at Sytners Northampton for the seal and a few other bits. Think you were def right with your diagnosis though Rav - since Bealieu its had no more than half a tank at any time and the smell has not returned.

Sorry for the late response...
Right, need to figure where we want to be staying, personally I dont mind, just aslong as we can have a drink and get fish & chips on the friday, I couldnt car less... 2p machines and the seaside would be a bonus but not essential.
Now, where would people like to stay, area wise and i'll find us a hotel...
