In all seriousness, there's nothing that can't be reversed on that car, even the interior

Interior by 'Tay' by the looks of it, could be an easy project but i wonder what lurks beneath. I'd still love it like my own child.

Depends how much you pay for it.

Iv bought a few cars which have been 'dolled' up with crappy lights, horrible subs and shit massive wheels. Because of the mods on the car it just means it gives more leverage to get the seller down on price. Just put them back to stock and you good to go, granted with a E30 M3 it can be pricey compared to a normal car but the value in the end will compensate that, plus I reckon you could sell most of the stuff from that car for good money to help cover the stock parts

Some monkey would love that interior for the E30 in southend, borbets will sell easily too

There is nothing on that car of any value, the interior is worthless.

Its way too over priced in its current condition, however we do no not know the actual state of shell, its too easy to be critical of the tinsel, the car might be a minter!

Dont see how the interior is worthless, someone would buy it, maybe not you and maybe not the kissed on the forhead people on this forum but somebody would, given its a full interior with seats you would be able to get good money for it.

And your telling me those wheels have absolutely no value at all?

come off it, those front seats are hideous.

yes it'll sell, but would you get anywhere near the £600+ you'd need for a decent m3 interior to replace it?

same goes for the wheels, yes i'm sure they'd sell ok, but a tidy set of oe m3 16in bbs is £500+

not really worth the effort at that price unless the shell is absolutely amazing when you could buy a good standard spec one for the same price.

i know people do buy modified cars, sell the stick on bits, return them to standard and make a profit but the car is usually cheap in the first place.
cheers,

Who would buy it? And for how much? (£200 at a push on payday with free delivery and fitting!).

Have you seen the price of a full M3 interior?

Have you seen the price of a set of four 16" BBS or split rims for an M3?

Have you seen the price of M3 rear parcel shelfs? Grills etc etc etc.

I really doubt you would break even sourcing original parts to replace the tinsel.

Metal frame bucket seats are rubbish, and have no value, even if they are covered in vinyl.

As I put before you could sell the 'mods' to help cover the costs of the stock parts

And also the fact it is modified and at that price the seller, id imagine wouldnt get much interest. So if someone shows some genuine enthusiasm towards the car im sure they could get it pretty cheap, pointing out how unfortunately the mods lower the cars value.

Yes I know the seats are hideous but im sure for a bolt in job some 18 year old with a e30 would buy them, not everyone who owns a e30 is like the majority of people on this forum...

Just because the advert price is expensive doesnt mean that is what the car will cost. I have never bought a car for the advertised price

Its only a car just like any other car.

You seem to dismiss the point that even if you got the the total value of the tinsel off the asking price there will still be a deficit.

To sell the car at its true value, the seller would have to let it go for £15,250 - (Total of tinsel + total of OE replacement parts + Total labour for rectification) - Assuming the rest of the car is valued correctly with no major issues.

I dont see the seller letting it go for 3k (min) less than the asking price.

Its not a clio with some team dynamics 1.2' and a omp seat harness.

I was thinking £5K less!! And the probability that the current owner would tell you to f**k off if you sugested that much of a drop on price on his cherished and much 'looked after' classic (with expensive and tasteful mods!)

As I have put twice above selling the parts would help towards the cost of stock parts, I know that it wouldnt cover the cost of oe parts. However that said if you take the same approach to buying the car in the first place im sure you would hunt around and not pay top money for parts, even if it does mean looking outside of the Uk.

The advert has only just gone up, you see cars advertised all the time and within a week they have already been reduced by £1000-£1500 because they have had no interest or to the seller what seem as silly offers, it doesnt take long for someone to realize the reason that their car/parts/cat/dog/sofa/whatever hasnt sold is because of the price .

The car is only worth what somebody is going to pay and if the seller is serious about selling then he would have to take that into account and come to terms that he is not going to the advertised price for it.

I dont see why a 'clio with some team dynamics 1.2' and a omp seat harness' is any different to this? Its still the same principle

IMO it's worth about £10k and that's if the bodywork and mechanicals are in good condition.

Its only the interior and wheels which need tgo be M3 specific and can easilly be sourced for £1k, the rest is standard E30 parts and as such will be pennies off fleabay.

IMO when I see tat plastered to any car it brings into question how well the owner has looked after the rest of the car. Call it a prejudice if you will.

Saying that, a friends dad has an e30 m3. He bought it new. It has carbon fibre kidneys/TSW Hockenheims/Eyebrows and a few other council additions that a lot of people would turn their noses up at. However it is the cleanest e30 I have ever seen, always garaged and a full service history at a main dealer. Literally perfect. Maybe we shouldn't judge a book by it's cover

I like the bike tube 'patch' on the drivers seat ! :)

God bless the deluded seller, he probably thinks his sorry councilfest is the crown jewels :(

Is anyone considering buying this? I'm assuming not ,as is normally the case.
If not then what's the problem? Don't like the price or the mods? Then don't buy it!

The problem is that the seller has turned a very desireable saleable car of not inconsiderable value into a councilled up joke .

Its his car and of course he can do what he likes BUT as he is trying to sell it he might do well to cater for what MOST buyers want IE a relatively standard car with no obvious signs of molestation.

Admit it Brett, its yours / you really like it !

Damn!!! I've been rumbled!
Of course this things not mine, I couldn't fit in those wimpy restaurant style seats for starters!
None the less I'm not over offended by this butchering of a classic icononic car as ...
A. Its not mine
B. I don't want to buy it
C. It's not visible from where I'm sat.
Which is the case for everyone who has posted so far. The owner probably drove one on a play station game once then persuaded daddy to buy him one.

And as for the price he probably looked on Munich legends then priced his toy accordingly.
