Right lads, I have the car up and running and almost ready for the first test drive.
Only thing is it idles at about 1600/1700 rpm.
The throttle cable is loose so that can't be the problem.
The motor is a 1990 m50b25 NV.
Oh yes, the Lambda sensor is not connectet yet but I cant see that making such a big difference.
Idling at 1600/1700 rpm?

Is the ICV moving freely? If youve not checked it before remove it and try to move the valve inside, WD40 usually sorts these out if they are sticky

thought it might been the coding plug on the clocks and showing the wrong revs
my plug has BMW 15 at the top but cant check all the numbers now

Coding plug is not the problem.
You can clearly hear its wat to high at idle.
Will have a look at the icv next Tuesday.

Block this one

Make sure the little stub on this connector is also blocked off and that it also connects into the back of the inlet manifold properly as they are a pretty crap fit even when the tab hasn't snapped off

I have already done as you did on the first pic.
I will also have a look if that connector is fittet properly in to the mani. It's now still connected to the cam cover though so I should block that of as well then?

The little stub connects to the plug I circled here right?
They are still connected together.
The thicker tube in the same circle is not connected to the intake elbow but I did block of the hole in the elbow it should fit in to.
