converting my 318i to m52 engine 2.8 off an R reg e36

hi i am starting to gett all the parts together i have heard that i can get a ready made loom that i can plug in straight away so i dont have to change my keys and also that will decode engine so it will start

i have a complete e36 coupe r reg i could take it out of that but wanted one ready done so my mechanic could fit engine and wack in the loom with no problem

any bodyy ??

Dude there's a whole section dedicated to M52 engine swaps (and just about every other type of BMW engine swap) in the cryptically named "engine swaps and forced induction" part of the forum. Might wanna start there. Good luck with it though. I wanna M52B28 an e30 one day

im doing the same swap sometime soon got a donor and just collecting parts but dan (danthe on here) is the man to contact for 24v swaps he does the plug and play bits and they are quality, il be sending him a parts list pretty soon when the bank permits
best to have a look on the m52 engine swap section loads have converted this engine in their e30's and theres different ways of doing it good luck.
