Got some new wheels today
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250988005376? ... 1423.l2648
Apart from a slightly rust cill its all good, Robbie and i went at it with screwdrivers, nice and tidy with all MOTs backing up the 75000 miles.
A big thanks to Robbie HKF for running up with me, driving my Touring home and giving the mechanics the run over.
Thanks also to PacerPete for the huge list of things to look for and Kos as well for all the info.
Pics later

I'm insanely jealous! That is a beautiful car and one I've always wanted. Cant believe you can buy one that sweet for a little over £4k though. Does she need much work? Are these much harder (more expensive) to look after than E30's?

Back behind an M20, but now I can hear it better.

20 years ago the front wings were an eyebrow-raising £500....each...I guess these days they will be a touch more.I would expect that the E24 specific bits to be expensive,as these cars were built in relatively small numbers, compared to E30/E28 etc.The running gear mostly was robbed from the BMW parts bin,so one should be sensible to keep running on a day to day basis.PeteE30Tourer wrote: Are these much harder (more expensive) to look after than E30's?
Bet an M60 V8 would fit.....

Chris? You're a coont! End of!
Jealous? Moi? Too fooking right! Lovely looking car that. Truly a classic nown not in the making.
Adit needs to pick some parts up chris. Bring him up in this mate so I can drool over it. No problems strapping a full chrome rear bumper to the roof have you?

Cheers lads, i paid less than four bags and it also comes with a fully stamped up service book, right up to a BMW oil service at 74205, the last inspection 11 being 66621.
Has had a new master cylinder, pressure regulator a fresh brake fluid this year,
I have been in bed all day today, a sausage roll from a garage going up to get the car done me right in,so no pics
I have sold my Hartge rep to our oldest son, he can pay me when he has finished uni, unlucky for him cannot afford to insure it,so its still mine until he can, all this just to sweeten the old woman
