Bonnet heat shield/liner, where to get a new one from?

Hi guys my heat shield is looking pretty nasty so looking to replace it, where can i get hold of a new one from? Cheers

if it's the shaped one which is one piece it'll be scary if available, if it's the bonnet foam 3 piece set up, I bought one last year for about £35-£40.

Brake cleaner is the stuff for removing the old one, apparently Toyota stuff is the best.

I purchased mine in the 3 different parts from a seller on eBay for around £70 last year. Made such a difference!

Sorry, forgot to state that I got mine from my local dealer, they are still available.

If you paid £70 for it, you paid twice what you needed to !

Does your local dealer's have very big windows ??

One key thing about buying stuff for E30s from Dealers is that you'll get a fright at the price of some parts but a very pleasant surprise at others. Don't buy anything used from ebay until you've checked dealer prices.

Got mine from Pelican Parts in the USA - about US$35 from memory (pluspostage but I got a heap of parts all together)

Got the 3 setion set from Cotswolds off here and it was delivered within 3 days and for under £40. That was only about 2 months ago.

Just had a look on ebay it is now £35 plus £4.99 postage.

I don't think the ebay ones are genuine BMW and if not, I'd suggest buying the dealer item for a few pounds more.

Removed mine with no ill effects, noise not apparently diffenent and no issues with heat.
