i know this isnt really an e30 engine but thought id try here first as you lot seem abit more clued up than on other forums.
ive got a m52b28 with m50b25 inlet that drives fine but it makes a loud tappety noise like tappets.
i first thought it was the vanos, then thought it could be hydraulic lifters but it sounds alot more like its coming from injectors..
are injectors suppost to make that noise and if so how can i quieten them down?
also it idles around 500rpm which can be a pain when trying to park it lol.any ideas about the revs?
are these related??
so far i put hydraulic lifter treatment stuff in it, changed oil and filter today for 5w40 and put a new intake pipe from throttle body to afm because old one was split.
any help appriciated
