BOGOF..

Daft question #1 - are spark plug spanners for 318 4 pots slimmer than standard spark plug spanners? if so what do you use if you don't have a BMW one?

Daft question #2 - would front sports seat from a 325i fit a 318 touring?

Namaste.

Sports seats from a E30 325i would fit into a 318i Touring.

Hi J, regarding question 1, there are several plug-socket sizes across the range. the plastic tool kit in the boot lid is made to measure. So if it's been changed for a fresher one, the socket may be the wrong size.
You can buy a spark plug socket to suit in any halfords or similar, but you may need to go a dealer to get one to fit the toolkit, they are not expensive.
If it ain't broke..
Fix it till it is :)

You'll be hard pushed to find one of those in a touring! Tool roll inside the LH 'boot' door.

I kinda read around that & figured it would be in the boot somewhere
