Hello...

I'm thinking about getting a set of 16" wheels for my 318iS.

Anybody got any suggestions or pics of E30's on 16's?

Currently running BBS RM's which look awesome, but I don't want to wreck them so I fancy getting some else as well.

Thanks in advance.

Genuine Hartge and Alpina wheels are popular, but not cheap as a 16" wheel for the E30.

The Wiki has a fine selection of wheels for you to look at:

Ah yeah, totally forgot about the Wiki...keep the suggestions coming chaps!

As for budget, no more than £400-500 really seeing as the RM's are already fairly pricey!

Hartges look the nuts, but you may need to scan German eBay for some within your price range.

Get yourself a set of Hartges or Alpinas, Hartge's are NLA and Staggered Alpinas are currently unavailable AFAIK.

If I were you, I'd buy the set from Adi. A good investment and they look the schit.

Thanks again for all the input folks...the Alpinas and Hartges look great, but not really doing it for me...a thousand apologies!

I really like the Compomotive TH's and stuff with loads metal in the middle like the comps.

I'm thinking about it Rav...just not sure. Don't know if it's low enough to pull them off, nor if I want to go low enough to pull them off if that makes sense?

Although to be fair, I'm pretty sure I could get my money back on them if I decided otherwise on them.

Hmm!

And AMG's...anyone got any pics of them on an E30?

Ronal Turbo are/were actually a rather kool rim when they emerged but they really don't suit an E30 (or any booted car for that matter, or Estate), they're more suited to small hatchbacks like Golf MK1, Polo, R5 Turbo, MK1 Astra, or even Nova's if you can handle the embarressment of ownership

Haha very possibly mate. I say borbets th lines or amgs. There are some other compomotive flat face ones, salad shooter style. Not sure about sizing though
