Hi all wondering if someone could help me.

I was thinking before that if I were to put an arb on the rear of my 316i (1990) I would benefit quite a bit. Now I know that the is is supplied with one so would it take much work to put one off an is onto my 316. also would i then need to replace the front one as I believe they are thicker on the is.

cheers guys!

I wouldn't say it would be totally neccesary to replace the front one, but seeing as you'd be changing the rear to is spec, then it would be silly not to put the same is one on the front.

The ARB should bolt straight up no problems, just make sure you get all the brackets, and you'd be advised to get new drop links and bushes at the same time.

Had a look at the back of my 1991 316i and there was one already there! And this is from factory (the previous and only owners would not have know what a ARB is!)

It is however thinner than an IS one...which will be going on soon.
