Wow never seen a head break like that :s what happened there then?
Nice clean looking car mate, got any more pics and info on it?
Also a nice clean shiny new engine, is that a 2.5? Or any hidden internal surprises?

Snapped cam belt.
I bought a 325i cabrio to break and it had the same damage after a snapped belt.

hi every one my car started out as a standard 325 auto which gave me no problems brought it for £500 i put a full powerflow stainless system on it but one wet and windy night i headed across a junction had a bit of sideways floored it on the old kickdown got the old girl into second and at full chat spinning like fook it all went quiet luckily i was about 300 yards from my house so rolled and pushed it home

i got the car picked up by my good friend robin at raw motorport as his workshop is about two minutes from my house and had a closer look inside and this is what we found i managed to bend all the valves bashed all pistons and bent the bars that the rocker arms slide onto and broke and cracked the head [img

started putting head back together what a job that was as have never done anything like this before but had good guidance from robin welsh from raw motorsport who kindly helped me with the build put the oil seals springs and valves back in this was time consuming

took me ages to get it to this stage as people who have done this before know whats involved.we drilled the holes in the oil pipe so will squirt out more oil[img

Do you take the pistons out and clean them everytime you drive the car

I've never seen engine parts that clean lol!
How did you get the bonnet so clean? When I removed the sound proofing from mine the glue was a total tw@ to get off.
