m52 questions help pleasee

okay so ive started putting bits together for my m52 swap,

a few questions

firstly ive removed the windage tray in the m50 sump i am using, do i need to remove the tray on the bottom of the engine also, the one where the old m52 oil pick up is bolted to, this tray is held on by around 10 13mm bolts onto the bottom of the block near the crank.


secondly if i remove the sump which ive already bolted on, will i be able to re use my sump gasket, its brand new and only fitted today but a friend said something about i may need a new one as this one has been compressed.

thirdly can i completely remove my aircon pump off the engine?

i left the tray in on my m52 i just cut the bracket off that fould the e34 sump, im not sure on the gasket, would be an arse if it leaked tho

aircon pump can be removed

There shouldnt be a problem with reusing the gasket if its only been on a day!
For piece of mind use a little quality gasket sealent.
