Noisy rear

I have a 325 with a noisy rear. The noise seems to be coming from the drivers side. After replacing the rear bearing the noise is still there. Is the noise more likely to be from the diff or the drive shaft?

What sort of noise is it?

Knocking, clicking, humming, rumbling, scraping, swooshing etc! 8)

I would describe the noise as a rumbling sound. I sat in the back and had a listen, it was definetly comeing from the right side which why I changed the bearing on that side.
