BATTS91 wrote:ye same tyre profile i have gonna get 195/45/16 same as will tucks in the arch more less rubbing and looks awsome

i can vouch for will and his subframe alothough theres no photo proof it wass fooked took a right scraping and bashing , i do belive he has cracked the subframe on bm once already but if you want low gta suffer consiquenses and we know this and youve just gotta be prepped with spare cash

i dont know if you were refering to wills car but he has m52 not m5 :/ there has been a great deal of money and effort gone into that car although alot of it was on the previous engine taken out about two weeks ago like you say money is only money its here to be spent hats what i say fella
I'm not talking about Will.. the M5 lump is a different car altogether!.. and before you hit the subframe on the BM you'll lose your sump.. it's a lower point on the car.. much like on a mk1 golf (my caddy was in PVW.. and I spent a few years working at a VW performance specialist.. just thought I'd add that) but yes.. money is only money! although I've a lot of repect for some peoples cars who have had a relatively small amount of money spent on them.. often above someone who is very noisy about the fact they have thrown a chequebook at the car!

anyway.. back on topic, low is fine, a little stretch is ok... 'stance' 'poke' and all that other rubbish on gash|works can do one..

also I'd say your tyres are too small but hey, again your car, your choice!

This thread is shite!

Full of bollox, nearly every zoner has mod'd their car in some way. Some more than others. Loads spend good money on them too. OEM old man crack is wrong and just idiotic drivel. The fact that people are expressing negative opinions on your cars is they look sh1te, drive shite and you just look like sheep. There is nothing different about slamming your turd over wheels that are too wide! All the d1ckheads are doing it!!!

Anyone seen camber shims before? The idea is you bolt your hub over these bits of plastic which is angled to get camberzzz:

Image

A friend of mine ones bypassed this by just bolting in some washers on the lower bolts...

I'm dyslexic so I think I understand the above drivel.

I'm running nowhere. I wouldn't wipe my ar5e on "stanced" cars. They are bigger turds than even Kos can manage!

Good to see I've come in from cleaning my "piece of $hit" (as some of you think) would I clean if I though it was cack? No... I'd leave it muddy and all dirty.... At the end of the day I like my car and so do many, vie seen a lot of cars on this forum and although not in my opinion nice, I respect the work people have put in to get the car HOW THEY WANT IT, not how some1 else thinks it should look. Its all down to personal preference at the end of the day, for a older person who see the e30's when they were 1st built and liked them then then yes, making them fully original is down to them. And yes, my sun frame on my golf wore through in some places, I'll have a search for a picture on my computer later. And batts is also correct subframe om bm is worn and was cracked same as chassis rails scraped and the suspension lollypops as some people call them it's my car and I'll have it as low as I wish :-) 195 45 on 9j, and coil overs... Best I get my coat and hat and walk away from this place now.

Will, no-one is saying that you don't have a right to modify your car as you please.

Some members on here have also been known to modify cars.

The point here is that if your car is as low as that then it most likely handles badly and is not pleasant to drive.

In my humble opinion, of course.

whoa whoa.. watch it.. some of the old boys on here are the worst modders! (and there are a lot of young OEM homo's) no-one said it wasn't about personal taste.. that's the whole point.. it's up to you what you do to the car! doesn't mean people won't disagree and put up a healthy argument!

I can understand "healthy argument" but from the quick read over I've just had (will read more later when I'm not busy) seems like things were getting a bit too hot IMO! Lool, and the fact you didn't believe me about my subframe on golf doesn't really bother me... And my e30 subframe sits lower than my sump, as I made it so the sump wasn't the lowest point :-) (thinking ahead for the lows!) either way once I've cleared my computer of all the virus's (watching way to much porn probably) I'll upload some pictures :-)

hey, I just asked for pics! none appeared.. and hey, it's Friday, I've got bugger all to do at work.. and I hate the word 'Stance'.. and the current trend for everybody to follow the stance scene like mindless lemons without much of a clue.

so far a i see it its e30zone vs 3 lads with what i could say for me and will have alot money into our cars not just the stuff you see on the outside , and im sure these people that go extreme stance ect plunge alot of money intto there motors aswell i ddont see the problem i might not like somthing you do to your car sir but sure as hell wouldnt rip into you for your taste/choice at the most id simple say i dont like it not as whaters his name said bout wills bm n mates merc thats what this argument is really about here RESPECT and i dont see none i see what people keep saying about this place and the abuse ect joke ive never seen it on another forum i dont get it
Stance is a joke, and it deserves all the ridicule it gets. It's about a pack of sheep taking a functioning car, and making it just about undriveable. Whoa, that's so cool.

So you raised the engine? The single heaviest item in the car?

All it needs now is an m30. It's got the handling of a tug, just needs the engine

replying to my lowering advice 2 pages back

i thought 40 in the rear and 60 in the front woulda been more appropriate rather than a lower rear and higher front as the back already sits kinda low. i do like to do things full on and think 60 all round would be sweet but il probably just do 40 because i cant be bother grind my steering rack sump along every road in aberdeenshire.

think il just go 40.40 on the 316 and the white shitter can get the full on poverty drift drop

You'd be surprised... It handles pretty well, where my cars low the engine is still probably lower than yours, yes I know it can mean more body roll etcetc and all that shit :-)
