Nah. E21's and E28's are cool and I love E24's but can't get interested in any BMW older than that.

I like the rarity value/old skool, but thats about it. If I was ever to develop such a warped mind to mess with one there would have to be some serious molestation going on for me to want to drive it.

Is there no legal way to stop Rav from ruining any more rare BMW's?Rav335uk wrote:That's done it for me, M30 install, might give him a bell.

Dunno about the car but it sounds like the 400 quid stainless exhaust was what ended his marriage !!
These are sensations as hard to forget as they are to ignore.....

The E9 is a nice rare old car but I've never been interested enough to find out anything about them - all I know is that even a basket case is stupid money to buy.
My interest in BMW's started with the E30 - and 17 Years on theres still one in my garage
When I move to a house with more garage space I'll be looking for an E24 Highline

@Blitz...
The Glas isn't, strictly speaking, a BMW...BMW bought Glas (and the Dingolfing plant is on the ex-Glas site)...
The design of the 2600GT and 3000GT (that became the BMW V8 Glas 3000) were designed by Frua and bore no relation to any other BMW...
They aren't bad looking, but the front is a bit "awkward" and reminiscent of a Maserati Sebring...
I'd agree that they are both desirable and rare...The 328 Coupe and the 507 are indeed some of the prettiest BMW designs...
@ Dan
Not sure why you would need so much persuasion to drive/use a 02...they are a pretty good steer, even today and a mildly tuned 2002Ti or Tii would be easily as fast as any E30 bar an M3.
The only downside (IMO) is the poor cabin ventilation...a feature shared with the E9/E3
