Might sound a real stupid question but how well do the m50b26 engines go in an e30? the reason i ask is i have a complete engine/ gearbox and wiring loom doing nothing and a 318is crying out for some more power.

If your feeling real larey drop an m52 in there! Exactly the same process as fitting the m50 but much much better performance

That said though compared to you 4 banger an m50 will go like stink anyway plus you can say you've got a real bmw as you will have the correct amount of cylinders

Stick with this for a couple of minutes and compare it to your 4 pot acceleration.
