morning dudes,

today I need to run a power feed for up to about 20amps to under pasenger's seat what's the easiest way to do this. The factory alarm system isn't in use any more can is use power from that? (current will probably never reach 10amps in practice) where is it fused btw as I doubt they'd put it in the fuse box.

Next question, what reading should I expect to get from the blue temp sensor?

and finally I'm moving from 318i to iS suspension. I've done the rears but not looked at the fronts yet. can somebody post up a simple step by step for the fronts... I can get access to a spring compressor.

Cheers. and good luck with whatever bits you're getting up to today.

I need to know this too! my iS is running bad at the mo, and i hope it's just the sensor.

If i get time later on, probably Sunday, I'll pull the sensor from my car and my spare engine and test them both, see how they compare.

Well I decided to run a feed straight from the battery. Though it turns out that at the highest I would ever consider using it (an amp this is) it draws 5 odd amps. normal listening it's on about 2.5.

Could still do with advice on the other stuff though folks.

OK, I've just tested the old blue sensor i pulled from the car. The reading is 2k when at room temp. I'm conducting a temperature test on it as i type. When i get the full range of results I'll post 'em up for you.

If you are running a feed str8t from the battery make sure it is fused at the battery end - otherwise a short circuit could produce a fire and the end of the car! Car batteries can deliver humungous ammounts of amps.

martin that's a very very good point. it's only fused at the far end!! Will sort that out.
