Would you reckon that would be a good investment for say tucking it away for 5+ years?
AWESOME!!!! Price is a bit eye watering though!
Weren't dealers really struggling to sell Z8s at one point?

I doubt you would loose money on it if it wasn't used and stored properly but i doubt you would make much money.
Yes thats what they were new.
I would have a normal one over an Alpina one any day of the week!
We get one in once a year that has only done 9k from new.

Well it looks like they won't be deppreciating enough for me to get one.....
Always seemed a bit mad to get rid of the M5 lump in favour of the 4.6 and fit an autobox, I guess it'd suit a lot of people who just cruise around though!

The second one's ok in a kinda Frida Kahlo way... Alpina stripes would still be better though!

They're a bit too offbeat to be an investment. You'd be better off buying two mint Sport Evos or a couple of CSL's tbh.

any excuse to post this!!

But at that price it will not make you much in five years, at the prices we found them in the Middle East five years ago we used to make money (now had two bought and sold) but now even here they realise the value of them.
plus with stock markets going south, expensive cars are one way to hold cash - look at what Wayne Carini does for a living - he buys rich yanks expensive cars...why?? because they hold value better then buying Apple shares and they can be converted back to cash in a few days.
These type of buys are the new stocks and shares for the next couple of years, but dont expect them to go up in value, just expect them to remain in line with cash inflation.

I am suprisied there seem to be quite a few Z8s out there with super low mileage why is this (compared with nearly every other M Car including M3 CSLs)?
We get one in but with red leather which is part of a private collection, its done about 8k i think.
I MOT'd it last year.
Not gone wireless yet AJ or was that being programmed?
