So far ive had trouble with it running rough but replaced air flow meter, blue temp sensor, distributor cap and rotor arm, new battery and cleaned up all the terminals on battery, leads, alternator and starter motor which has cured the problem now
.now need to get the centre box on the exhaust sorting because its got a huge whole in it and sounds like a tank! going to get my dads mate who builds hot rods to cut the box out and put straight pipes in instead.
Body work is pretty solid just needs tow hook sorting out but every e30 ive had was rusty there so must be pretty common place to go. needs new nearside front wing as previous owner tried rolling it i think and has made abit of a mess of it. and nearside rear arch has got a little scrape on it.
The engine is out of an e34 535i as is 5 speed box, has got a z4m shifter, e30 m3 prop and not sure what diff but got a feeling its the standard 318 one. (will change this for a lsd eventually)
interior is super clean 318is and a aftermarket momo steering wheel but will proberly change this for a tech 2 or alpina if i can find one.
the suspension has been lowered 40mm i think but its all 318i stuff all round so this will be one of the first things i change. not sure if i will put 325i setup though because i like the idea of 5 stud conversion so will more than likely be on the hunt for e36 m3 evo struts and e36 compact trailing arms etc soon.
brakes are standard 318i but stop suprisingly well considering its got drums on the back! lol
heres a few pics of it at the moment needs a good clean though.
has small dent in valance which will be sorted and i will get new trim around the bumpers as they are all cracked. will also get a spoilerless boot or maby a tech 1.
will get some new number plates these are uber council
i will smoke headlights and spotlights, put new trim on bumper and stick an is splitter on it eventually. got rid of the ugly black centre grille the other day
needs a hover out and polish but interior is very clean. i have the plastic for under the column but need the bit of centre consul round the handbreak. will change steering wheel for either a tech 1 or if i can find an alpina one.
engine bay looks very tatty but anchor pulls like a train/tug boat. air filter is off because i was messing about with it earlier( i will put a proper airbox on soon) will clean engine bay soon and paint the engine. i also want to rewire it because it is abit of a bodge job( electric fan i on asoon as you turn ignition and dosent have a charge light) but might need help with that tbh.
i will try to do something with that top rad hose also as it is abit stretched. maby a bit of tube and a 90 degree bend
just painted the wheels silver. looks much better i think but they are not going to be on the car long anyway
, just got a touring in down at bobbing for your handbrake surround , 1 or 2 other e30"s there too but nearly stripped
