Heated mirror glass is available for the E30. Has two pins sticking out of the back of the glass, which are connected by two wires to the brown and blue connectors on the back of the mirror motor unit.

i think my car has them in that case!

I noticed last week that ive got a extra litle loom going to my mirrors, not the tweeter wires, they deffo go to the mirror, plus both my mirror glasses are going blue just under the center of the glass, identical place both sides!

Does this mean they are heated?

There's no extra loom going into the mirror housing from the door on the few cars with heated mirrors that I've seen. They just use two of the existing wires.
I've noticed discolouration on the glass of heated mirrors, so you may be right that this is a sign.

These extra wires eko, are they grey/green and grey/yellow? I have these going up towards the mirror housing but theyre not connected to anything. My iS had heated mirrors.

I've retrofitted heated mirrors on an E30.

All you need is a pair of heated mirrors as Brian advises. You'll need to wire up the 2 extra terminals on the back of the heated glasses to connections within the electric mirror housings.
There are no extra looms and no switch. Seems to work on a bimetal sensor once the ignition is on.
The system is not that intelligent as it does heat the mirrors throughout the summer. This is normal on factory fitted E30s - my last E30 touring had them.
I've seen on www.E30.de that some environmentally conscious guy has fitted a switch to reduce energy wastage.
If anyone still needs detail on the wiring I'll take off a mirror glass and post the connections on here,

Just to clarify - you only need the heated mirror glasses and not the mirror housings. I got the glasses from GSF.
Everything you need to wire the heated glasses is in the standard electric mirror housings. You will just need to tap into a circuit.

As far as I know the heated exterior mirrors came in package with heated door lock and heated spraying nozzles on the hood so I think there is a wiring loom needed for that retrofit and a control unit (i found it in ETK), If Anyone knows for an article about that I would install this too

You are right that they came as a whole, but no extra wiring is required for the mirrors is what sharknose is saying.

I've got the heated option on the M3 (standard on M3's) and the mirrors are always warm.
Door locks are operated by a small switch when the door handle is lifted, and the washer jest are heated by a sensor near the washer bottle iirc.

These are the wires for the tweeter pods that fit in place of the triangular trim pieces over the door mirror bolts.

FESI,

A previous E30 touring which I had, with the heated mirrors had the heated nozzle, heated door lock pack installed.
The car I retrofitted is a 1993 318i Touring Lux without heated nozzles or heated locks,

and the washer jest are heated by a sensor near the washer bottle iirc.
Simon, does this mean that the washers have wires going directly to them,or is the water heated as its leaving the reservoir?
Sorry to sound thick

No matey, the jets have heating elements inside them as this is where they tend to freeze due to BMW's sound insulation, the heat doesn't get to the outside of the bonnet where the jets sit.
