Changed the front speakers earlier and since then my central locking has died!
Stripped the drivers one out again and checked to see if i have disturbed anything, but everything looks ok.
I changed the control module for a known good one and still nothing
Checked and cleaned the socket to the drivers door and also checked the fuse(FUSE 27?)and they all seem fine, also my mirrors still work and there on the same circuit arent they?
So what the f*ck have i done?Any ideas?

I have done a search, and have found out that i can join the 2 red/black wires but will this work for me?
Before i touched the speakers it worked perfect

Could be a dodgy connection in the pillar plug for your door loom,
Have you checked for power input/output at the module

Check to see if there is power there, Probe until you come across a live, then probe diff pins while operating the lock to see if there is any change.
Had the same sort of thing myself, this was due to an aftermarket remote locking module, a previously taped-up wire had come lose and was earthing out after pulling the carpets out. Took "AGES" to find! 8O

The two red/black wires in question go to the right hand door pillar socket, and the chances are you've moved them when you changed the speaker, and disturbed a corroded connection.
Before you touch anything, check for 12V+ at pin 3 of the locking ECU.
Check with a 12V lamp, not a meter which will give misleading results.
If this supply is missing, then the door pins are most likely problem.
Easiest and most permanent fix, is to cut both red/black wires away from their two pins on the socket, and to solder them together, taking care to insulate them properly.

going to have a probe about in there in the morning again.
The only real out of place thing i could see today was where someone has wired a Lights on warning buzzer into the interior light pin, apart from that the wiring looked quite good!

Does anyone know exactly which pins i should be poking at first?
