What's it worth at the weighbridge?

Apologies for the generic 'what's it worth' thread but:

Fragging my old moredoor and just wondering about a ball park figure I could expect weighing in the shell (minus engine, front wings and interior) at my local metal recycling plant?

I'd be interested in this as well as I may have a shell to weigh in soon.

It has been hovering around £150 per metric ton for a while, providing you deliver the corpse to the weighbridge.
. The trick is to replace what you remove, I;E let it get nice and wet inside, fill the boot and footwells with bricks / concrete and anything heavy BUT be sure to make sure everything none ferrous is covered by metal frag.

From past experience,especially if it is a quattroporte, unless the doors are really nice and a common colour, leave them on the car. Same goes for the interior, 4 door comfort cloth is virtually unsaleable . I usually leave the carpet in unless it is anthracite six pot velour. Any rips or tears = don't bother.

Four door 320 weighed in last week for a couple of quid shy of £100, head, gearbox, seats, prop, lights,front bumper and valance, wheels and a few other odds and sods removed. That price was me delivering it on a transporter.
