Just gone out to me car to pop home for lunch, went to start it and.... nothing!
Left me bleedin sidelights on, that and having had the heaters and rear window heater on on the way to work, aswell as the radio, didnt do it much good.

I fell like a right plank!

Mine died last night too, though it's been gradually getting lower and lower over the past couple of weeks. Taking a trip to the local scrappy to get a second-hand one for Ԛ£20 instead of a new one for Ԛ£80.

325 battery is the best part of Ԛ£80 unfortunately. Got one from GSF a while back, couldn't get one mail order.

biggest problems with batteries is when car is used only for short journeys, using starting cranks, radio, lights heater etc.
the best option is to turn everything off when you get home but leave car running for 5 mins with sidelights on.
the sudden drop in temp kills batteries.
as for second hands, you could be buying trouble as to check if it is really any good (no dead cells) you need a drop test, they can appear good but let you down quite quickly.
