bmw c101 to x20 loom conversion

ive got a bmw e30 318i and a engine out of e36 318i compact i have engine in ... but the e30 plug to the body loom is called a c101 and on the e36 is called x20 and the plugs are different so i have to use the wiring off of the e36 loom and attach to e30 (c101) plug .. dose anyone no the proper wiring conversion coz ive tried one and im not getting any spark and the spark plugs are dry
