Not really. If you mean as an upgrade, this was tried with an M30 AFM on a 325 and it lost me 11bhp on the rollers.
I'd say stick to the stock one unless you're going MAF or MBE

They do line up mate yes.
I've got a 2.5 one on mine at present.
Not as in a power increasing mod, but because I was trying to solve a running problem. Runs ok with it on, but I suspect it's causing over/under fuelling.

Yes mate.
Around 4.5 to 5.5k rpm.
In that area.
A chip should solve this.

Oh right, I used to have that. After playing around with loads of bits, it's much much better now.
I am currently running a 2.5 AFM, but changing to a borrowed 2.0 made NO difference in running.
I also tried numerous ICV's and none were any better than the other.
I am currently running a 2.5 ECU. This has stopped the momentary flat spot when you go to pull away at a junction etc.
I can only assume the old ECU was faulty, or something cured itself.

A 2.5 chip would be pointless really.
I would go back to fully operational 2.0 stuff if I could, that's if I was staying 2.0, and if I was, I'd get a zone chip. But I'm going 2.5 so this will suffice for now! It runs!
Go for a 2.0 Zone chip I reckon.

ahh, the stumble just off idle is normally down to a shagged/dirty TPS dude, either that or your throttle cable is poorly ajusted.
check the operation of the TPS before spending out £Â£ M8

yeah just tweak it til the slacks all gone, then check it goes full open/closed when operated via th pedal, get loads in @ work that only give 3/4 off WOT with slack cables dude
TPS stil needs checking though M8, the cold start idle is down to a coolant temp sensor signal to the ECU

good thing about the M42 is that it has auto learning TPS.
