Seem too have a intermittent problem with the m52 conversion, had it running and it runs sweet, went to start again and it wouldn't have it, fuel pump was priming but not pumping when cranking the engine over, checked everything over and over, still no fuel whilst cranking,.. Then all of a sudden it had fuel again, tutted it off 5mins later and it did the same thing again, I'm thinking it may be a ews problem? As everything is working fine baring the pump when cranking and the coil packs (no spark) thanks will..

Check to see if you ews box clicks next time, if it does it'll be the crank sensor that's duff.
M50 Turbo!!!
I shall say no more

If you can't hear it, you should be able to hold the box and feel it "click" open,
If there's no clicking, check your connections.

You are right they dont all click, also, just because it clicks doesnt mean the ECU is getting the start signal, that is just an indication the EWS module has seen the correct chip

OT. Why don't they all 'click', Dan? Doesn't the start signal run through the EWS box on some versions?

I've had 3 sets in my car, 2 of these did not click. Ews failure is like a bad crank shaft sensor as craig said so trying a known working item would eliminate this....
Failing that ews is cooked or lost its code (happened to me and obv put me out of pocket. Twice!)
I've since gone with Dans ews delete service and I can't recommend this enough!!
But obv couple that at the same time with a nice tune and job done in 1
Firstly, the ews delete has no ill effects as far as the way the engine runs or performs and the added benefit, as far as I'm concerned is, I don't think about ews or it failing as its not there - WIN
Secondly, the tune... Its brilliant and noticeable from the first drive after being plugged in. And the fuel economy is improved also!
I was getting 60 odd miles to 20 quid with a mixed degree of throttled driving. Now I'm getting into the 80's only im more tempted to boot her now as she goes so well.! But if I could keep my foot off a bit more, lol, this I'm 100 percent sure would increase. Fuel @ 131.9 here.....
I driven my m52 around on 3 ecu+ews setups for months now and this 1 is just awsome.!
If it fails, send it to Dan trust me on this haha

No idea Brian, im assuming its a different type of relay on the starter circuit, I have this type in one of my cars so will take a closer look next time it comes out
