A few of you may remember me buying this and making a post at the time with a few pics, it looked a bit tired and the front bumper was mangled.

Things have come on quite a lot since I picked up the car just over a month ago my replacement bumper has now been fitted and sprayed the cars had a good valet and I’ve upgraded my head unit and made a few little tiny tweaks.

I expect uproar of OEM freaks to start shouting at me because of the M badge’s and German style number plates in good old zone tradition.

Also thought the title of the post may make a few people throw there toys out the pram but it is infact a sport on the log book and quite rare these days so i'm told.

Also going to renew the suspension and bushes, Eibach springs and B4 dampers are what I had on the e30 which seemed a nice ride so I’ll probably do the same again tighten it up a bit and a slight drop as well.

Must get round to fitting an 18 button OBC as well!

Not much else planned for this one some BBS wheels would be nice or just something with dish and I’m currently looking at upgrading my door/roof speakers and perhaps a small 8 or 10 inch sub

Very happy with it so far the only slight issue is that above 100mph I get a whistle sound think my boot seal may need replacing but seeing as I rarely drive at those sort of speeds it not a huge concern

Very nice.

My E36 Touring used to fog up on one of the headlamps - its a common problem. If there is a crack in the glass you can remove the lamp as one unit and the lenses come off - I found it a pig to get the panel gaps right when I put the lamp unit back in though

From what I remember the OBC isnt an easy upgrade :(

Cheers matey not bad for the money!

Do need to get the headlight sorted out but it will probably not get done till after winter now.

I've had a look in to retro fitting an obc and to get the basic functions working its not that much of a task luckily my car had most on the loom in place already so just needs a few sensors and a couple of wires joining up.

Ha the drivers headlight on mine has exactly the same condensation pattern my passenger one is similar as well. I've read its quite simple to sort just needs the sealant around the rectangular cover/lense that needs renewing as it fails with age.

Nice car by the way I considered this when looking for mine but wanted a manual.

Nice touring.

I've run my E36 with the headlight bulb covers removed for the last 2 years, and never had any problems with steaming up.

E36 sport tourings were only available as 323i's, so nothing wrong with the title!

It’s not an OEM item but made by a company called Car Lovin Criminals based in Poland, think it finishes off the rear end perfectly and its not to OTT

I'm looking for a spoiler for mine at the moment mate, just had my roof rails removed and smoothed and it looks like it needs that little flick on the back. What does it fit like?

Its a good fit, I bonded it on instead of screwing it on and did have to leave a weight on either side to make sure it sat right on the corners, left it for 8 hours and job jobbed.

The only bit I found was a bit poor was the quality of the unpainted finish, had to give it quite a few coats of primer, high build etc as little pin holes kept appearing but the finished paint looks excellent.

One good thing about my colour "Fern Green" its very easy to get a good match old paint vs new paint

Doesn't sound all that bad then, i really like the look of the oem BMW one but its NLA unfortunately! I'm still keeping my eyes peeled and will do some digging at the stealers next week. There has to be one sat in a dusty corner somewhere! Mine's avus blue and has literally just been painted so colour match won't be much of an issue 8)

Yep, mine are all properly sealed but still fog up, I just run with the main beam rear covers unclipped and they never fog up, and causes no other issues.

I'm sure someone said something about removing the inner lense from the headlight and not only does it look kinda funky but apparently because of the heat getting thrown it won't fog up.

I'm just a bit concerned that the headlight beam would be effected.

Don't suppose anyone has pics of the lights with the lense removed?

It is quite nice for 170k thanks for noticing you would never see E46 seats looking that good after 170k dont you agree?

They just don’t build them like they used to.

Hopefully get my hands on some vaders for the front soon, never seen a touring with vaders, sure its been done but I aint seen it

The OEM E36 touring spoiler wasn't available to the UK market due to quality issues, so the chances of finding one are very slim. AC did one though, and they look very nice.

Not sure about the rest of Europe, but to find one ebay.de etc would probably be the best bet.

Cream leather is not a fair comparison blacks shows wear a lot more and those seats don't have raised bolsters on the base either, seats with raised bolsters always wear down quicker

Considering you thought mine looked gash I'm surprised you like the ACS one as its quite similar to mine.

eh? put it this way you want a spoiler for the tailgate maybe for your B3 touring. Alpina have made a fine job of its exterior looks so far. Do you nail on a tailgate spoiler from the fun loving criminals from the warsaw ghetto OR do you go for Alpinas main BMW tuning rival who well make brillaint parts??

You kinda answered it........................

personally if I had an Alpina I would not mix it up with an ACS spoiler and leave it standard
