Theres a fairly regular south wales meet that might save you a few quid in juice !?

Like Dave says have a look in the meets section. :thumb:

So is it just me, GavinJ, and Dawie who are going from here?

And only Dawie going to be in an E30?

Poor show chaps! There are seven CRX's and Civics going from the Honda forum!

:x

:D
I really want to go to this but one on my calipers has seized so don't know if my car will be ready as i might have to order a BBK from the US as they are so much cheaper over there.

It's free to get in and watch but i think you have to pay for passenger laps ?

They have a noise limit but i don't think the cars have to have an MOT as you some times get race cars testing on the same day

<edit>it would be just my luck to get rostered on to work that saturday now that i'm looking forward to going !

Any idea what the noise limit is? Im just thinking that our Group A car may be ready by then but it runs at about 108db. If its ready and it will be alowed on track me and my dad are definately there!!

Mite think about doing it anyway just in a my car, but it wouldnt be as fun!

Ben, that sounds very cool!

This day is 98dB apparently. I'm hoping my car passes because it has no cat, no centre box, just a Mongoose backbox! :?

If not, I'll cry!

Should be ok. Just preparing now.

Gonna get some spare tyres (there is tyre fitting on the day), change the rad (have new second hand one!), and possibly get some more brake pads for spare. Also, fit the lowered springs I bought recently (second hand!).

Really can't wait.

Sal, stop messing, just book it!!! Remember, FREE tuition!!!

:D :D :D

Thanks dave, ehat are you thinking of taking? Group A is a cool car, but its a pain in the arse to maintain! Neither me or my dad (we co-own it) are decent mechanics and the engine needs rebuilding every 10-15 track days :(

Il try to get some pics up ( though its not really much to look at right now)

Im really tempted to take my road car though, it hasnt seen any track action for a while

That car looks awesome!!

I'll be taking my little Honda Civic VTEC mate, not much compared to that weapon, but fun nonetheless!

Hope you can come along (and bring the car!)

Cheers,

Dave.

Less than two weeks to go now.

I have next Friday off, to finish preparing the car!

Need to sort out my wheels and tyres, possibly buy four more.

Change the suspension!

Possibly buy some more Ferodo Pads, depending how worn mine are.

Change the oil/oil filter.

Change the rad.

Can't wait!

Damn, seems i cant get the time off now! It sucks, i was looking forward to it even though i couldnt bring the track car i was gunna bring my cecotto.

Taffy, we dont race it, although some of our friends race a similar car. We have found that track days are more fun for those with no real driving talent! Plus any damage would cost a fortune to replace as we only use BMW DTM parts.

Your racer looks awesome btw!

Shame, racing is sooo much more fun and with a car like that i wouldn't expect you to be having to battle for posiition. The e36 is looking good, alot of people think i'm a fussy arse and I am but I like race cars to be clean and look like they're loved!
