LOL!

I know for a fact that elephant, tesco, adrian flux should all give you decent quotes, i got mine from insureyourmotor.co.uk, they search virtually every company in the UK, they gave me the best quote last year, and it was well reduced this year

Well its more like what dont they have! There are a couple of other threads on them, but in their showroom they have an M1, group A M3, CSL batmobile, Group 5 320 1977.

Round back they also have a sh*t load of road and race M3's (including mine atm) M5's etc.

They only really deal in mint cars and there prices are crazy, but its more like a museum of BMW

If you search for munich legends im sure youl find some pics, if not il upload some

Squeal not true. I have owned E30 M3's for the past 8 years and currently own a Sport Evo. All my servicing has been done by BM Motors which is owned by a guy called Davy Blackhall.

He knows all there is to know about these cars and is extremely reasonable with repairs and servicing.

The M3 is my baby and I wouldn't let anyone touch it other than him.

His address is
71 Station Rd
Law village
Wishaw

Tel No 01698 375146

Tell hin Gary sent you and you might get a wee bit of discount.

On you choice of cars I would go for an M3 if you can find one at your budget or the 320is. The S14 engine is a belter

Yes belter is right, the s14 is near on indestructible......my friend had one with full bm service history! He had it bouncing of the limiter all the time, I said to him, blah, blah you will blow your engine....to which he replied, if it blows bm will replace it free because there that sure you cant blow them!!

I'd keep your 320i and spend the money on an engine, suspension etc.
German Cars is in Kings Lynn in Norfolk, nr the Lincolnshire border, about 100 miles north of London.

No worries mate,

Davy deals with all kind of BMW's as well as other cars but knows the S14 inside and out.

Remember and tell who sent you if you choose to go there mate, you might get a wee discount.

Have you decided on what car you re going for?

320is all the way

Timing chain problem is unheard of AFAIK in germany, and BMW consider it a life part, after all it is a double chain like on the M42
I heard (dunno if its true so correct me if I'm wrong) its exactly the same part as used on the e36, and you dont hear of snapping chains on them do you?

Failing that the 325i sport

Having said that I know somone who used to hussle a e36 328i round the ring in a decent time
Mind you he did call it 'the barge'
Cheers,
Robin

I agree I have never heard of a chain snap and as you say these are duplex chains not the single ones as seen on the E28 M5 or E24 M6

Gotta agree... the 320iS is a superb package. It's a shame that BMW didn't make more of these for the UK market.

I had brilliant fun in mine round Cadwell (mini-ring) - it out-handles a Sport by miles!
