i wouldn't mate - i have looked to buy several second hand cars that have odometer readings that look unlevel or if the teeth have been forced or something alonng those lines as the numbers dont sit level at all... and not bought them for that reason - the sellers then say they just swappedd out odometer and wanted to make the reading correct ofr the engine... i'm sure some were genuine but i just couldn't risk it.
i would rather buy a car that had a trustable 130000 reading than an untrustable 100000 -
i appreciate why u want to do it but it may cause you more hassle than its worth if ever trying to sell

Take lots of pictures of the old dials before you take them out (inside the car)

what is the mileage difference?
