Smithy, PM me if you are interested in the cable, it is in my thread with the morsels, complete with battery terminal clips and the connectors that go onto the bulkhead

I'm interested in this too as i will have to get one fitted so i can run my screens at shows. At the moment, i can only have them on for a couple of minutes, then i have to switch my engine on to charge the battery or it goes flat
I bought one of those Yellotop ones, but it was too tall and my bonnet wouldn't shut

ben can have it.
Im just thinking about it as my battery went flat after 10 minutes of playing music without the engine running.

I have to speak to my ICE man 1st dude. I dont know how he'll want to do it, but i'll come back to you if he gives me the go ahead mate
Daz, i should have had it done, but cause i though the yellow top was going in the car, i never bothered, but when it didn't fit i couldn't do anything cause my boot install was already done. Now i'll have to get my trimmer top rip it all out and do it cause it's a show stopper when you can have all your screens running at shows. Even better when you can show something different on each screen.

i don't know what battery you're running at the minute but some careful measurements and a trip to a factors to purchase a diesel battery will give you a reasonable bit of car park time. it's what i've done with mine and you what i'm running.... mine's not gone flat yet...

Hi Paul. I've just texed my ICE man and he said he'll install a spare one in the boot when i bring the car back to have my neons in the boot and the mirrors changeed. I actually took 3 yellowtops to the garage garage, but the fcuker has closed up and fcuked off to India for good, so i'm stuffed and will have to buy a new one
Where you been hiding any Paul ?

where have i been hiding? i've been keeping a low profile as i extended myself financially buying another house and setting it up then buying us a business van (ford escort shed mechanically sound but comprehensively corroded) and putting it back on the road - a mini project. soon as i'm back on my feet so to speak i'll be hunting down an m-tech 1 project.
anyways - my understanding of batteries is that a second battery doesn't require a split charger so long as it's run in parallel, the car effectively sees a large battery. the two batteries have to be the same spec and age for this to work however. what is good is an isolating key - so that the 'remote' battery can be disconnected and used for starting the car after any car park time is done. a split charger is nice of course and necessary for more than 2 battery setups.
as far as installing goes the second battery can be placed in the boot/under the bonnet whereever the first one isn't and cabled in with 4 gauge or larger. e30s are particularly easy as they have 2 factory locations!
