E21 M30

Just thought I'd post a few pics of my m30 powered e21. It's actually a car converted and supplied new by TWR back in 1982. It is basically an Alpina B6 but TWR went with the 3.5 instead. They also used a bespoke gearbox with a combination of 5 and 7 series ratios.

Mine was the only car supplied with the full monty 240 brake specification. It wasn't cheap either. £22k in 1982 must equate to quite a sum today?

I know some people will see the carbs as a backward step from the old K-jet injection the car came with but they were a period option. I think they sound awesome and power will definitely be increased. The new head also has e34 inlet valves and a camshaft from Cat. Thurston Engineering are supposed to start jetting the carbs on the dyno tomorrow.

Not yet. It goes for jetting etc on Monday. I'm not even sure what an m30 on 45's is likely to make?
