i have fitted an m52 b25 in my m40 e30 and i have no spark or fuel :(

iv tested the ews and it knows the chip is there, there is resistence between pin 1 and 3. i also have voltage at pin4 from the ecu which i wired from pin 18 of the ecu.

i also have 8v at the coil plugs, is this correct

when i turn the key before it cranks the relays click, both in the 52 loom and one in the main fuse box. i can hear a buzzing noise coming from the injecter area of the engine but i cant find what it is. there is a 2 pin plug that i cant find a home for that is cliped to the engine mount and goes up to the inlet yellow/green and white/blue are the colours.

fuel pump doesnt work either and my electric windows are live all the time :?

iv wired it as

c101 m52 loom
1 - 25
4 12
5 - 23
6 - 22
7 - 21
8 - 24
9 - 20
11 - 19
13 - 13
15 -15
18 - 18

pin 6 has 2 wires to the same pin so i joined them together to pin 22 is this correct

any ideas on what to test or spoted somthing iv done wrong would be greatly appreciated :)

The buzzing is the ICV, comes on with ignition. Fuel pump is fuse 11, have you checked this? Fuel pump should prime when you initially turn to ignition on, then run when the crank is turning

Have you checked for power at the fuse? Bridge the relay (Green/Purple & Red wires) and see if the pump runs. If it does run its probably an EWS-ECU communication problem

iv bridged the relay and iv got power at fuse 11 but the pump is working. when the ignition is turned on the relay clicks as it would prime the pump :?

You mean the pump "isnt" working?

Regardless, it still sounds like EWS-ECU communication problem

iv got 12v at the pump and resitance to eath on the other pin is 0.9

put a batt straight to the pump and it clicks and does nothing, will an e36 pump fit

If you have 12 volts straight to the pump (the correct way around), and the pump doesn't run, then the pump is duff.
Does the pump consume current, even though it doesn't run (spark, when you connect or disconnect it)?
An E36 pump won't fit into an E30.

fitted a new pump and it primes and runs when cranking, still not running because i have no spark. it came out of a running car anything i can test ?

theres a plug for a relay by the ecu, no relay came with the loom. should there be one
