I really do wish the saloons had a plush boot trim. There impossible to keep from getting clogged with cr4p.

Looking nice though alex. That wing is a perfect example of genuine vs. pattern. Glad its being replaced.

Very nice. I've got the same Vax as you. How did you get the straight lines?

Ollie even my E34 has the low grade boot trim.

Barry - there just comfort seats at the moment.

ollie- to be fair the wing has been slightly bent here and there by myself trying to get it spot on ive probably made it fit like it does, got a new one in the garage.

blitz - just the way i dried it off afterwards, up and down pushing the piles up then down winkeye

jozi - to be fair its a one owner car, never had pets or been smoked it, most 20 year old door cards are stained from smoke and the odd filthy oily owner :D you turn the water pump thingy off and just use it as a "hoover" to dry it off although they never dry fully, 24 hours should see them dry

need to find a product for the front two seats, now they have some staining on the leather from jeans, need some sort of good leather polish. Any ideas?????

i would recommend anyone who wants a mint interior to invest in one of them vax's no foaming shitty 6.99 carpet cleaner can match it. i used airel that you would use in your washing machine however i suggest you use it at your own risk, although smells lovely and cleans better than anything else

Try an imperial leather soap block with hot water, before investing in loads of products.

I've used it on light grey leather in a 540i, and beige leather in a z4 2.2i and it brought them up fantastically.

Yeh. Get it nice and soapy, and give it a scrub.

I put some protective leather cream on afterwards too.

if it works, although i want like a polish to scrub staining out the leather, if such product exsists, i would try gliptone but i dont want to dye the stitching :o:

Try the soap thing first.

We did have a thing of genuine BMW leather cleaner, that was quite old, but that was fantastic stuff. Maybe you can still get that?

That's superb, like a Guinness or a Polo mint!
Two headblenders, couple of bags of MC Hammer, 5 litres of FFF, a 48ft bastard, a box of jumped-up custard and some soggy chimps

I had the same problem with the exhaust when fitting my m52 cause dan's exhaust match up to the 325i system and the 320i's got different lengths there as you've found out the same way I did!

If you want to keep it single on the back you could perhaps use a Y piece from a 2 pipe'd midbox to fit your original backbox although it might be a bit constricting.

Will be going for a 2.5 system, no choice but to cut the valance, oh well.

Need to get a new angle grinder since that went up in a puff of smoke last week

Will try and get a perfect template from a zoner

exhaust wise i'am thinking a scorpion centre and a oem rear, if it will mate up ok, anyone tried this before ?

Does anyone happen to know the part number for a rear bmw backbox for a 2.5 3 piece system, real oem will only throw up 2 piece systems :?

Why don't you just cut off the twin tail pipes of a 325i rear box and have a single on welded on? :!:

3 piece systems are up to sept '87.

That is for diagramatic purposes only, ignore the single pipe picture.

You will need to be able to prove the year of manufacture of the engine for MOT purposes unless you want to fit a cat.

Because its an L reg so there for registered after 31st july 1992 it will need a cat test unless you can prove the date of manufacture of the M20 B25 engine.

If you have the chassis number of the donor car then a spec check sheet from BMW using the ASAP system NOT View data system will have the build date and engine number.
