Why do things all go wrong at once? My usually faithful 323i has done all of the following things in short succession: sprung a petrol leak, started making grinding noises at low speed, snapped a throttle cable and sprung a power staring fluid leak.

I had the same problem which ended up in me getting rid of my last E30 which looking back on it was a huge mistake.

On my 318is the head gasket failed, my starter motor went, my ECU failed and it needed a new clutch all within a 2 week period.

Dont give up on it though else you'll regreat it like i did.

On the plus side i managed to serve it to some one for £850 even with all the above problems that the buyer was fully aware of

If it's not a rust bucket (which I doubt in WA) it's worth getting it sorted! None of it is overly expensive if you do it yourself.

Yes you are right. I am a few weeks holiday, so I will park it up and work through the problems one at a time

Start with the easiest first. That way it feels like you're making progress.
