60mm would look good in my opinion however shorter dampers and a sump guard are needed ideally

A 60 would possibly take it to the tyres, so it might even be more of a drop then 60 8O

Expect it to drive like a bag of .... with regards to handling, especially with 17" wheels on.

In your other thread about getting some more speed, I find mine doesnt need the extra spped (It would be nice) But it handles fairly well so I dont have to slow down as much to keep it handling well...


And a Build thread section, there is an engine swap section I know a few people put there builds in, then others put them in the photo section.

thanks jim320 (Y) il be fabricating a sump guard eniways because ive had nasty experiences before (2001 poloGTI slammed 100mm + curb) haha

Whats yours lowered by lee? im after similar stance.

Its running fine and yes its 2.7 eta bottom end its really torquey! its now sorned under cover on my driveway.

ah good to hear mate. id be tempeted to put mine under cover this winter too but its mind numbing driving my work van all the time :) ....im in need of one of them bottom ends if your know of enyone selling one? how much did you pay for it also?

i ordered some xlow 60/60 apex springs about 2 week back and ive not heard back from the place who i went through so im presuming theyve arrived and forgotton about me so il chase it up tomorro :)

Mine was on Apex 60/40 in that pic and imo there a decent spring,im on H&R's now and tbh i wish id never swapped. H&R's are good if the road is flat. :)

there 16inch x 7.5inch lenso bsx with 195/40/16 tyres...with some cheeky stretch! Ive got my apex 60/60 springs fitted now too but its filthy in the photo and theve not settled in

are they?? aha didnt realise! the bloke said it had been for sale abit and no one came to view it but the pictures he took of it did it no justice at all. I paid 1500 for it but im happy with it considering its perfect condition...bar the wrong way round blinkers lol. Its getting m50'd next week too so it will have some grunt!

Undersized tyres make it look higher than it is, and look a bit shit on that wheel tbh.

205/50 suits a 7.5" rim nicely.
