It's a white facelift 2dr, think it was a 320 in a previous life. I've never seen the car, it came up from Kings Lynn way this afternoon on the back of a truck.

Was hoping to get over and get some pics of the drag slag project today, but that never happened.
The wife's golf is doing my bulb in, all my fault of course with the swap of another engine in. It's got a savage misfire between 2-3k and stinks rich. It's had new plugs, leads, rotor & cap, new crank sesnor. Waiting on a USB lead now so I can plug in the VAGCOM port and see if there's anything stored before I waste some more money on a new dizzy & lambda. So i'm still gaying it up in a soft top vitara.
So after a few hours of fiddling with the Golf, I turned to the chromie

Time of your life on the gravel, the frost never thawed all day
New manifolds to fit. My old ones (not pretty but they have done the job well) and some DanThe replacements

Wrapped & fitted the manifolds & lambdas

Just got to do a wee fettle to pinch up the downpipes and the exhaust system can go back on
Oh and this is what happens when you don't get your tracking done after fitting M3 eccentric bushes

What are they using to set the front toe, and think £40 for 10mins work is ok?!

whenever i've used local places it has been some sort of 4 wheel laser jobby. I think when i had the soarer there once they charged about £40 for alignment check and then £4 per adjustment

Just been speaking to Andy, the roof has now been cut into 4 sections for the roof chop and it has all gone for blasting, should be back soon.

I haven't yet seen one piece of it myself mate
The engine is having a rebuild so is in bits somewhere, i learned today that the rods are made of composite, this thing is epic. The tubing hasn't started getting done yet, although it is all there. The panels are all off being blasted.
The first thing that will be getting built is the jig and table it will be getting built on.
As soon as I get an opportunity for pics I'll be in there

tell me about it mate, it's the stuff dreams are made of (well for me anyway).
So much to learn though (aside from the build itself). I was talking to my dude last night and he asked if I've ever used launch, err no. So he's going to blag his mate's WRC Focus so I have have some practice with using launch control.
The core for the intercooler has just been ordered, Alcon 4 core , 3ft x 2ft, everything is on an epic scale.

I don't know a sequential box and something which will be scraping it's belly/undertray on the floor would be a royal pain. Plus it's not exactly a sleeper
Fuel tank would probably have a range of about 5 miles
