Is there such a thing as a reasonably priced remap / flash / whatever / of a m52b28 engine? I see lots of cheap e30 engine chips but not many people offering remaps on earlier engines.

400€ is the cheapest Iv found for a flashed ECU on a tuned engine i.e m50 intake manifold.

Anything else out there?

Just wanted to resurrect this as I've just received my ecu back from Danthe.............

"Ews delete and tune"
I would recommend this highly.!

Low down torque in any gear from 1500rpm is noticably better...
Car feels more drivable and lively.
And the pull from 4500 is brill, much stronger with no flat spots and nice smooth grunt.

This is my impression from tonight, only plugged it in earlier and this is on standard morrisons shite so goin to run her down and wack some 99ron in there. Can't wait
If your thinking of this and you have m50 inlet ect then "get it done" :D

So nice1 Danthe, awsome mate 8)

Hmmmm, will this flow more air? Or less? Also will it increase performance, ie BHP? By how much and do you have a dyno graph comparison to prove any speculation?
And just to be safe does it affect fuel consumption in any way at all? Cant be too careful with aftermarket gear

:D
Seriously, can you do just a tune? id like to keep my EWS.

My set up is M50 manifold with BBTB so would probably work well with it. 8)

Dan, can you work your magic on E46 330i ECU's? ie to get them to run in an E30.

You dont have to lose the EWS, just that Ant couldnt be bothered with it anymore after a few bad experiences.
Not looked at anything E46 mate, might do in the future but 330 engines are still too expensive IMO

If I didn't have a cat 1 with pager I'd have wanted to keep the ews but as far as I've experienced its nothing but trouble and I suffered 2 failures!!

So be-gone lol
