as a winter runabout to leave my 325i in the garage for the cold months, collecting it tomorrow,
what do you guys think of the price and condition?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250954589204? ... 1423.l2649
has it ever been on the forum?
anything worth recommending I check before completing the sale?
I'm concerned about the mileage because its had the seats and gear gaitor change, (the sorts of things that wear with high mileage cars) for £1200 i think it looks pretty tidy to see me through the winter either way.

Looks like it's been owned by a teen who knows f-all about the cars. Get that K&N kit and sub-woofer out of it, and give it a proper service.
Aside from that, it looks like a very clean body and if you service it now you'll get most of your money back in the spring. Sports interior and 13-button OBC is a tidy bonus.

yeah, i spoke to the guys old man (well spoken chap) who wanted to get him into these as he's had a msport cabriolet his whole life, his son just can't insure it, he bought all the speakers and wot not but couldn't insure it hence the sale,
apparantley scuttles, battery tray, sills, arches etc are in good order so as jimboe said, ripe for a b25 conversion, i'll be on the phone to pacerpete as soon as i've collected it to discuss that option!

Looks fine to me! Nice little touches like interior, extinguisher, OBC, h/lamp wash, boot liner, etc. 320 block perfect for boring to a proper size

I would say you're probably best off leaving it as a 320i if using it as a winter car - even the mighty M20B20 can be a handful on snow and ice!
Perhaps chip it, if you're after a bit more out of it.
Looks like a very nice example.

looks very nice, good and straight with a nice few extras, as above.
it's had a decent iS sport interior fitted to replace the probably worn comfort seats.
p.s. i have very nice Tech1 s/wheel and 325 badge available

Get a f* grip,we are talking about 20+yr.old sub £10k cars here,NOT the crown jewels!
Well its still got the obc so that means it hasnt been owned by a "spadge" or a "tomson" type.
If its rust free then its a nice car to keep for a while. The twenty is slow(although not as slow as people make out as you have to wind them up), but are you really going to be driving fast? If you are going to uprate the engine then do it in the summer, as changing engines in the winter is a complete mugs game.

Good colour and spec and if its as rust free as the seller says its a good buy

e30topless said : Proper BMW's have 4 headlights, last of the run was the E30 and E34/E32 anything after that is just complete shite
What a beauty, it's better in the flesh than it was in the photo's, couldn't be happier with it, it is completely rust free and the chap has done a stonking job of sprucing up the interior, looks great and is super clean, drives tight as a drum, 100 mile journey home was faultless, it has been really well looked after, my girlfiends gonna have a hard time topping this lovely christmas present to myself!!
nice one for all the comments guys.
MERRY CHRISTMAS BOYS!
