For a bit of a laugh/inspiration/motivation - what's the worst e30 rot wise that you have saved and some pics of it?

I'm currently at the point where the subframe/tank etc is off and I've got to start cutting out and welding - it's bad - and I'm getting called mental by everyone who sees it - but I've repaired worse.

So let's see what you've fixed to make me feel better.....

:D

with a large portion of those repairs hand-beaten from sheet steel. It's all documented in the restore thread in my sig, along with sill, floor, boot and wheelarch repairs.

I like this thread..

too many times I see people suggesting perfectly good E30's should be fragged and weighed in because there is a little bit of rust on a wing..

glad to see some people out there not afraid to get the welder out.. :D

scarily enough the subframe, tank, pump and lines etc all came off cleanly!

it will live again - i'm aiming for a lazy timescale of end of jan.

@maxfield - you'll have to come over for a cuppa/beverage if you get bored one eve.

Inner arches are shot on both sides...

I had pretty much written the car off in my mind; unless someone fancies a go at it with a welder in exchange for a can of Guiness and my eternal gratitude! winkeye
