That's a bit harsh!bmbimbo wrote:had to use some of my kid's saving's to be able to buy the bloody thing
I can't believe you're moaning about a flat tyre, it's hardly the end of the world.
Also, I wouldn't even waste your time contacting the seller, you bought the car as seen and no doubt you had a look round it prior to purchasing so you only have youself to blame for not checking it properly.
I'm not being cruel but that's the facts, it's just unfortuinate you overlooked these things and flat tyres happen to us all so just chill.

When you've just shelled your last penny on a piece of motorised metal mate, a flat tyre is a big deal! I know what its like to be so skint that I cant stick fuel in my car, i know what its like to have to pray that nothing goes wrong with your car so you dont have to find MORE money to fix it. Maybe bmbimbo(sorry, i dont know your name) is in the same situation as i've been in?! If you have never been in that position Adam, think yourself very lucky that you dont have to worry about money! Some of us do! Its all relative to a persons circumstances isnt it? adam, iԚ´m sure the girl bought the car in good faith, and wanting to get a "good car" for her money, she canԚ´t be blamed for choosing a bimma
but fair play, unexpected costs can bring out stress in all different ways.. and i thought this was a community, where we all "try" to offer a helpful hand and a friendly word if and when we can
i get u itԚ´s not soo serious that she should blow a gasket, but fair play to her for venting it here, (if anyone should get what its like when a car goes tits up, it should be us

Dude, good to see you back! There is only one rusty scott now due to ScottMc breaking his sport. Mine is also non-rusty now. Ther is 1 small spot that i want done again, but its nothing major and i can now get on with fixing her up.Moofles wrote: scott why is there only one rusty scott now??! is your car now rust-free?? it just won't be the same!

Just wanting to add my h'pennies worth, when you out goings equal your income, any deviation from that path IS a big deal,no matter how small, trust me,I know,i've lived in fields due to such utter poverty, with noone there to help me out but myself,so even the tinyest little thing that requires money just adds up and can bring you to tears

Gents, lets leave this thread alone eh? She asked for some help and all we've done is talk over the subject. bmbimbo, what brand of tyres are currently on your car? We will try and get a match for them then. (well, i will anyway!)

bill you not seen the jobs thread in general chit chat? i make money winding up e30adam all day by making sure his software doesn't work :p
but yeah let's get back on topic anyway, shouldn't be *too* much for the tyre as it's 16", but as previously mentioned it's all relative!
plus scott's trying to get in there...just joking!

bmbimbo, im with you on this one totally.
If you live praying that nothing goes wrong with your car and scraping the pennies to fuel it then sorry but that's called living beyond your means and those in such a situation should perhaps think more carefully about their choice of car. Maybe buy a 316
My point is that you can buy a decent part worn tyre for Ԛ£25 which hardly breaks the bank. I guess what I was actually trying to say was that it could have been worse, the engine could have stuck a leg out of bed or similar!!
Wasn't trying to piss anyone offf so if I did, I appologise!
