No, I'm sure she owned it. :P Only someone with a huge wage packet like hers in Australia at the time, would have been able to afford one! They were hugely expensive, costing double what they did in Europe.

I heard a radio interview (research innit, Townsend stylie !) with Kylie many years ago and she was talikng about her '57 Thunderbird "with the porthole top " I got quite excited, what a woman ! I prefer Dani though, a proper little minx, well, at least she is in my depraved dreams ! :)

Charlie Sheen apparently had one for his first car, and drove one in Wall Street.

There was a thread on celebrity owners a while back:

1991 BMW - "Dick & Jane"

This is the actual BMW that was driven by Jim Carrey in ”aDick and Jane.”a It has a certificate of authenticity. Rust free from California. It is a high mile car that was used for the movie and then parked.

I've just read Shaun Ryders autobiography and he states that he had a 325i sport. He was wasted and came home one day to take the car out but it was blocked by his wife's so he took her car instead and wrote it off 100 yards down the road into the back of a vicars car!

Beach Boy Brian Wilson had one, mainly cos his middle name was Malcolm: 'BMW' of course. He had it 'shopped' with aftermarket gear like whitewalls, neon alloys, spokey dokeys/wind chimes that played a sort of Sloop John B hook when went over speed bumps/rumble strips.

Crazy punk had the five speed box changed for a four speed cos he wanted 'four on the floor'! What a dick! Still, gas was cheap, so sod economy.

In honour of the Pub Chat revival...

Big Fat Richard Griffiths (Uncle Monty, Pie in the Sky lardon-cop and History Boys schoolboy nudge-bandit) genuinely did have use of a promotional/demo Tech 1 around the same time as he was making Withnail in the Lakes. Rumour has it that, carbs fan that he was (as in carbohydrates, not carburettors), the stiffened shocks and springs suffered premature wear, and he split the bolster in barely a week with his balloon-sized nutsacks.

He tried, while not filming, to conquer the 1 in 3 Hardknott Pass (GB's steepest road: FACT); not a good idea when you have shagged the suspension and weigh nearly forty stone. It was frosty day too, and the boot was loaded up with a whole sheep's carcass for his tea. He got literally about five metres up the pass before the engine blew up. Poor old git.

He most certainly was not! What are you on about!

Minder was mainly acted out by George Cole and Denis Watermain.

You've lost the plot!

I never cease to be shocked that people will make jokes about a small child that has probably been murdered. On here, or anywhere.

You've pretty much spoiled it all now. Well done.

Are there really people on here who are that ignorant and insensitive that they think my comment is a 'sense of humour bypass'?

I thought there were mods on here who could remove and ban people posting offensive material?

Sadly, perhaps not.

There's a guy in the States who bought a red M technic II cabby that was once owned by Andre Agassi. I believe he has his signature in one of the log books.
