I was dismantling my tourer at the weekend and noticed that the front wishbones seem to be alloy. Is this normal as I swapped wheels on my sport at the weekend as well and can't remember seeing the same on it?

Yes mate, it's normal for a 325i touring, IIRC it was only the later ones that came with them as well as the M3.

They are lighter than the steel ones, and that's about where the benefits end! They also cost about 4 times the price of the steel ones, I'm replacing the ones on my M3 with steel ones.bigpimpin wrote:I take it that's a good thing then?

How much are the steel ones, cos I think the vagueness of my front end is down to the wish bone joints.
