hi paul

the engine im building is a 2.7 engine starting out with a 325i sport engine with a 525e crank and rods the engine is going into an e21 323i so the chassis no. wont be misleading

however the parts that i require should be the same as my mtec1 325i sport of which the last 7 digits are as follows:

0 858 273

there doesnt appear to be any colour or any referance to a colour on the existing bearings however the no.s stamped on the bearings are as follows:

connecting rod bearings
1284 849 & 850 an SK logo with 8578 Sd is also present
it appears that blue is for the top and red for the bottom that would mean i would require 6 blue and 6 red but i cant confirm this

the main bearing shells are still inside the block which is at the machine shop so i dont have access to it at the minute but i know that they will be the standard bearings

the pistons are standard sk 83.98mm

thanks

Willy
