....with the likes of Trev, Potter and Kos! :o

Image

Well it had to be done really, it came in a px at work and i fancied something a bit newer again plus the mrs doesn't approve of the E34 B10.

What do women know eh?!

So, what do we have? Its a 2002 530iA Sport in black with black which is a one owner plus Redhill Vines BMW dealer demo (the sister dealer to the one i work at) which has covered 87k with FSH including every invoice MOT and tax disc from new and HPI clear! :D

Condition wise its very good with all original paint as far as i can tell, no rust at all, a couple of small car park dents a crack in the front bumper, straight virtually unmarked wheels with 4 matching Avon ZV5's, tidy interior and mechanically sound, nice and dry underneath.

Couple of typical E39/E53 electrical faults, an intermittent PDC fault which will be a sensor and the Nav disc drive just spits the disc back out so an upraded mk4 Nav unit will be the order of the day for that.

What really sold it for me though was the spec!

On top of the all ready decent standard 530iA Sport spec it has the following options,

403 Glass roof electric
459 Electric seat adjust, drivers memory, electric steering column
494 Seat heating front
522 Xennon headlights
609 Professional Navigation
632 Coms pack with BMW cellular phone
694 CD changer
555 On board computer
602 On board monitor with TV function
521 Rain sensor with auto lights
675 HiFI loudspeaker system
508 Park distance control
761 Individual sun protection glazing
780 M parallel 18" alloys
464 Ski bag
465 Through load system
470 Child isofix attachment
500 Headlight wash with intensive cleaning

Healthy to say the least and no doubt because it was a demo.

Plans are to use it as a daily and to sort the Nav, PDC and cracked bumper once christmas is out of the way.

Best of all was the price! :o 8O :D :D

Lovely! Trade in's are the way forward.

I had an e39 all of last week and it was soo smooth and nice to drive! Lovely cars! Had to put a thermostat & housing on it due to stat being seized open. But it was a solid car!

Congratulations Barry

Its my second E39.

The last one i bought two years ago coincidentally was also a one owner plus demo trade.

It was a snappily titled 525iA SE Midnight Blue Edition Individual.

A nice car that was served for a nice profit after smoking it about for a couple of months.

i thought you had got rid of the B10 for a E39 B10 ?

I would rather smoke the E34 personally,

Didn't realize they had a drug dealing rep thought that was the e38 7 series. Privacy glass doesn't help, but apart from that I think they look class.

I'm in an e39 too. Pretty much povo spec and a bit tatty but no rust and perfect under the bonnet and electrically which is why I bought it. Lovely motors and I don't think I could go back to a manual daily after getting used to the tiptronic.

Just need some leatherzzz now

Here is my contribution.

I have just served this on last week. A leggy 530d that was a good work bus for the family.

Image

The replacement. I searched long and hard to find a good example of a sport touring. This is pretty basic in spec but low miles and lots of history. Paid far too much but they still seem to command strong money.

I have spent the last week sorting all the problem areas. New crank case breather, swirl flap delete, gearbox service. Will need a little paint in the new year but as an all round family bus you cant nock them. DIESEL POWER !!!!!!!!!!
