My recent trip to wales was made a whole lot more expensive by a fuel leek!

The metal filler pipe has rusted away making it piss fuel everwhere. Fun Fun Fun

As my car has an extra 15 litre fuel tank sitting in the boot this pipe is different to normal uk car as it has Y shape to it (cannecting the two tanks)

It had rusted on the bit going to the extra tank, as the extra tank is above the filler pipe, this 15l tank just emptied itself along the way.....

So do replace the Y pipe and be able to carry 70litres of fuel all the time.... or do I loose the extra tank get a normal pipe and just use the main 55 litre tank.

The 15 litre tank is a pain to fill up as the tank is higher than most of the filler pipe, it also robs me of boot space. It may also be difficult to get hold of the Y pipe as its not that common in the U.K. Selling the tank will get me dollars!

But as i'm changing my engine to an m30 70litres may be useful! It will also feck my fuel guage up if i take it out as its got an "area" on it especially for the extra tank....

How much are the filler pipes from the dealers anyway?

Anyone painted them or something so they don't rust anymore?
