Hi guys next too the oil pump Theresa big nut with a spring loaded pipe coming out, what's this? Thanks

Are you meaning next to the pump with the sump off? Oil pressure relief valve screws into the bottom of the block.

Could it be this has taken a hit, and why my oilpressure is lower at tick over?

oil pressure will always be lower at tick over as you pump pumps more as the revs rise as its driven by ya cam belt

It's lower than it was before the hit, found the prob anyway... Crack along the seem of the oil pump to the block new pump gona make sure it runs good tomorrow and then can sell it
