I really do think electric cars will be awesome to drive, so much more potential flexibility than combustion engines!

Is this the same one that was linked to on here a while ago, in a different article, or another contender?

personally i think pursuing electric vehicles is a stop gap at best and at worst taking away funds for better more sustainable fuels.
electric vehicles dont work out much better than a gasolent engine in the long run and are not pollution free its just a different kind of polution and environmental damage.
any way this one comes under the politics and religion rule of not discussing on the internet, so i shall keep quiet.

Whatever, you've got to admit, it's an impressive showcase, apart from boot space, maybe. 174 mph top speed isn't to be sneezed at!
I just wonder why they would have chosen an old E30 to convert, when there are more modern alternatives that may well appeal to a wider audience?
There's more guff on it here:

Should have ruined an E36 Touring.
Electric is just a fad that has more hurdles to overcome than a nuclear plane, granted they arn't as high as death due to radiation
Honda are putting a fair chunk of their R&D into small forced induction petrol engines atm, though don't know any figures or percentages.

Weight reduction, it's also missing the rear spoiler.Green wrote:All the effort that must have gone into building that car... and they're missing a front spoiler

Maybe, but he's continually developing it by the sound of things.
Check out some of the demo vids on his website:

200kg lighter than a standard E30, for starters...

No, your missing the point, the politicians want electric cars to keep the air in the city clean. Pollution created outside of the M25 is outside of their mental capacity.HairyScreech wrote:personally i think pursuing electric vehicles is a stop gap at best and at worst taking away funds for better more sustainable fuels.

I said:
Can anyone suggest how to test if the boot lights are staying on with the boot shut?

Did I miss when they converted all the Black Cabs, LRT's buses and every HGV and lorry+van to electric then?e301988325i wrote:No, your missing the point, the politicians want electric cars to keep the air in the city clean.
