Powerstation is only up in chetenham and heard good things about them
One of the guys there runs an E30 M3 (S14 still) which I think is pushing out over 300bhp
Was thinking about organising a possible day there early next year

Moved to shiny new place in Tewkesbury, only about 10 mins further up the M5, and much easier to find.Andy325i wrote:Powerstation is only up in chetenham

ah, forgot about this thread... thought of interpro but their print-outs aren't great. a friend of mine with an audi s2 went on an audi day and thought they were a bit mediocre and his print-out was naff. used to use stealth racing when i had a vw and their rolling road was so much better, gave very impressive print outs with calculated losses, and you could plot two curves on the same graph etc.
I'd definitely be keen to come for an organised day anywhere though. be a bit embarrassing for my ickle m42, but hopefully not for long... cheers for the help fellas though, i'll have a look into powerstation - anyone know what their rollers are like?

Not seen the new ones (except on the website) but the old set were pretty standard stuff, and i seem to remember talk of them moving to get a better RR setup amongst other things. It's got it's own special room now, rather than just being in the middle of the workshop like it was.tim_s wrote:i'll have a look into powerstation - anyone know what their rollers are like?

just taken a look at your 328 conversion thread, that should be a nice project! how far off are you now? was using the M50 OBD1 injection problematic or straightforward? did you find out about the flow rates of the injectors? isnt the M50 3.5 bar too? really should have asked on your conversion thread i guess but never mind.
so is that your m3 in your sig too?

Well as the thread probably suggests, things have been v.slow to say the least what with trying to get one bit or another. Anyway have started working on it again which is cool. The inlet manifold is sitting in place now, did that today and sorted the breathers out. Everything I do rasies a few more hurdles but its all good fun as they say, so just got to keep going!
I have 4 days off now so hoping to get a bit done (weather permitting!!!)
It has taken far too long now, but know it will be worth it in the end.
I drove my mates E34 M50B25 auto today and the tourque was just smiles everywhere so I can't wait to feel the M52 in action
Realistically I want to see it running this side of chrismas. If it isn't you know what I will be doing chrismas day!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not my M3 in the sig pic, just one I took at Gaydon and played with

i think the 328i engine will be great in an e30, i'll be really interested to see what yours puts out with the m50 injection/inlet. I know what you mean about the m50b25, been in a e36 coupe a few times and they're very impressive. its quite a different beast from my old man's m52 323i, so hopefully by removing a load of the restrictions from the 328i you'll be on to something. am sure it'll be worth the effort.
